Skanergi.com is a project of Meima Associates of Brattleboro, Vermont, USA, conceived by its founder, Ralph Meima, as a way to stimulate trade contacts with Swedish companies in various energy-related sectors.  Dr. Meima spent 14 years living in Sweden, and while completing a Ph.D. in corporate environmental management at Lund University, and carrying out a variety of related projects, he became aware of many ways in which Sweden leads the USA in energy efficiency and renewable energy production.

To be sure, much of what can be said about Sweden in this context can also be said about the rest of Scandinavia and Northern Europe.  But Dr. Meima's direct contact was primarily with Sweden, hence the focus of this project.

It is hoped that Skanergi.com will emerge as a useful resource for smaller Swedish companies that possess essential knowledge and products for America's coming energy transformation, but have never done business in the US before.
